Burning Man: Saturday: The night of the Burn
September 3, 2000
As is now my ''tradition'' we ran the firefall after the Burn.
We tried to send Scott off to go dance, but said he didn't feel well...
Seems it's impossible to make Scott not work the firefall!
Dave, Leo, and Heather helped spot and keep people safe.
Running the firefall after the Burn is simply then best place to hang out!!

September 2, 2000
This was our first successful night with the Cauldron.
Due to weather, we weren't able to run it until now.

Burning Man: Friday: Pump oil plug gets mud in it!
September 1, 2000
The pump suddenly stopped working on the first night we finally are able to
run the Cauldron... We go over to look...and the pump plug has fallen out
and mud has gotten into the oil!!!! This is a total disaster! Scott and
I worry we've lost the pump entirely...
[Luckily the next day, Joey says to just fill the oil back up and give it
a try -- and it works!!! ]
