Night of the Blue Flameball!
August 17, 2000
Leo Hourvitz, David Ellsworth and Ken Mitchroni all came over to play in the firefall. Kent Oberheu also showed up, but stayed way back from the flames!

July 4th weekend on the playa
July 3, 2000
Allen Denault [who organized Felix and Absinthia's wedding] put together a
gatthering on the playa for July 4th! We offered to bring the Firefall up
for it, as long as we got water!
We didn't get water until we were there, but we did finally!
The wind was so brutal the whole weekend that we didn't get to light up
until monday night -- but we were determined to light up, and so we did!
Allen moved his big bus to help block the wind. Everything went well from
there!

Allen Steel: getting a stainless steel drum
June 19, 2000
Joey tipped up off to Allen Steel in Redwood City at the end of Whipple
on the Bay-side.
They have a lot of great stuff there! Better than AAA Salvage, they have
a lot more stuff I'd actually *buy*. :)
We found this barrel, but ended up with a different [and cheaper] one.

Post-Absintha's Wedding....
June 16, 2000
Here's the sad state of the firefall after Absinthia and Felix's wedding...
Both of us were kind of tired of the firefall by then, so after we unloaded
it, we didn't take very good care of it...
We started getting a lot of mosquitoes in the house, and I realized they
were coming from water collected in teh bottom bowl...
I went out to clean it up this day...
