The Ceramic Thing BROKE while I was at Burning Man!
September 30, 1999

While I was away at Burning Man, the Ceramic Thing fell over on my deck and the ceramic part BROKE!
I may try to glue it together... Until then, I can't run it at all. :..(

Scott's visit
July 31, 1999

Scott Bartlett came to visit to check out the firefall.
This visit was the first time we met!
Scott is now my husband.
He wanted to experiment with different kinds of film.
I like how my hair mimics the fountain.

I think these are the most beautiful pictures of me with the firefall.

Photos by Scott Bartlett.
Some of these are scanned using a *flatbed* scanner! They look horrible!
Some new ones were scanned at Moocat's place and look far nicer!

Picture in the Chronicle
July 9, 1999

This picture was on the front page of the Arts section of the Chronicle on July 9th, 1999
The artical was about the Fire Arts Festival put on the The Crucible steel arts school and gallery in Berkeley.

[I probably shouldn't taunt the Herst family using this picture, though! :) ]

No, this was not my hand :)

I used to have a page up describing in detail how the Ceramic Thing works.

Pyro Lunch!
February 4, 1999

I invited some folks over to talk about the firefall and to show off my recent tests.

Yes, I sacrificed this plastic tub. :)
It was old and breaking anyway. And the flames weren't very high at all.
But...yeah...it melted some. :)

Photos by Dan Lyke.
Dan Lyke took these pics. I'm glad he did. I have no other records! :)
